Sound familiar?

Your brain wasn't built to remember everything

Every day, you see hundreds of things on your screen. Important things. Useful things. And then they're gone.

"What was that thing I saw last week?"

You know you saw it somewhere. A website, a document, an email. But where? Hours of searching leads nowhere.

Information overload

Hundreds of tabs, documents, and apps. Your brain can't keep up with everything you see daily.

Search fails you

You remember the context but not the exact words. Traditional search can't help when you don't know what to search for.

How it works

Simple. Private. AI-powered.

1

Works while you work

Memento quietly runs in the background, remembering what appears on your screen throughout the day.

2

You control what's private

Mask specific apps, websites, or windows. Banking site? Work email? You decide what stays private.

Ask in plain English

"What was that restaurant my friend mentioned?" — Memento uses AI to answer naturally and only sends the relevant context needed for a better response.

What was that coffee shop recommendation?

Found it! Sarah mentioned "Blue Bottle Coffee" when you were chatting on Tuesday.

Real examples

Ask anything, find everything

From recipes to meeting notes, from memes to research — if you saw it, Memento remembers it.

"What was that article about productivity I read?"

Found it! You read that on Medium last Tuesday at 3:42 PM.

"Show me that recipe from last week"

Here's the pasta recipe you saved from that cooking blog.

"What did the meeting notes say about the deadline?"

From your Monday standup: deadline moved to March 15th.

"Find that meme my friend sent me"

Found 3 memes from this week. Here's the one about coding.

Local data. Better AI answers. Full control.

Memento keeps your memory timeline, personal data, and chat history on your computer. When you ask a question, it can send only the most relevant snippets to cloud AI models so answers are more useful without sharing everything.

FAQ

Common questions

Is my data really private?

Yes. Your timeline, chats, and full data stay on your computer. When AI answers need help, Memento sends only the relevant snippets to a cloud model instead of your full history.

Will it slow down my computer?

Not at all. Memento uses minimal resources and runs silently in the background. Most users forget it's even running.

Can I exclude certain apps or websites?

Absolutely. You can mask any app, website, or window you want. Banking sites, private messages, work apps — you have full control.

How far back can I search?

As far as you want! Memento stores your memories locally, limited only by your hard drive space. Months or even years of searchable history.

What if I want to delete something?

You can delete any memory at any time. Select it and remove it permanently. It's your data, your control.

Does it work offline?

Memory capture, browsing, and local search stay available offline. AI-powered answers may use an internet connection when cloud models are enabled.

Ready to remembereverything?

Memento is an open-source project built in public. The current download is an early testing build — a stable release is on the way. Try it, break it, and share what you find.
